NASA Releases a Tiny Satellite to Study Ice Clouds


Early this morning, NASA deployed a tiny, experimental satellite from the ISS. Roughly the size of a loaf of bread, IceCube will test a new, highly sensitive method for studying ice clouds from space. Using data collected from this CubeSat, scientists can continue to improve and develop the technology for use on later satellites.
